Can you imagine Eragon, zoned out in front of the TV for hours?  What if Nancy Drew spent her afternoons eating Doritos and watching Cartoon Network?  Talk about boring, huh?  I definitely wouldn't check those books out from the library.

All too often, though, my life can look exactly like that!

Just like our favorite characters--Hank the Cowdog, Harry Potter, Junie B. Jones, or Laura Ingalls Wilder--we have great stories to live out...and ours are real!

TV Turn-Off Week starts on April 23th and finishes up on April 29th.  Your mission: can you go a whole week without watching TV?  Sure, television can be great---but it is also great to take a break from it once in a while, just to remind yourself that there are lots of fabulous things to do, besides sitting in front of the TV.  So get busy and make your life worth reading!

Now it's your turn to sound off!  I'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas.  Will you take the challenge?  Why or why not?  If you do, what will you do instead of watching TV?  Just click on "Comments" under this post, and type away!
