Summer has started off with a bang at the Olathe Public Library.  More than 1000 children received Summer Reading Club folders at our Summer Reading Kick-Off on Tuesday!  There were snacks, chess games, relays, temporary tattoos, mystery book photos, bubbles, fingerprinting by the Olathe Police Dept., and an ambulance and police car to explore.  It was a great crowd, a beautiful day and a lot of fun!

Hundreds more summer reading folders have also been given out at both libraries.  If you don't have a folder yet, it's not too late.  Stop by either library anytime and pick up a folder to keep track of all the reading you do this summer.  Return your folder in August to receive a free paperback book!  You may also pick up a flyer which lists all of the exciting programs happening this summer, or find out more on our website . Don't miss out on the fun!

tshirt.jpg"Get a Clue" t-shirts were also sold at our Kick-Off.  If you didn't get a t-shirt, they are still available at both library locations.  Children's sizes are $5 and adult sizes are $6.  Just stop by the Circulation Desk at either library and get yours today.  They are the latest in library fashion!  A special thanks to our PALS group for providing these t-shirts for sale.
