Young readers will have four opportunities to "Read to a Dog" this summer at the Olathe libraries. Just drop by the library during one of the scheduled times, and check in at the Children's Desk upon arrival to be assigned a reading time. There is no advanced registration, but reading time slots are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Here is the summer schedule for Read to a Dog:
Saturday, June 5 - 1:3o-2:30 p.m. @ the Indian Creek Branch
Saturday, June 19 - 1:30-2:30 p.m. @ the Main Library
Saturday, July 3 - 1:30-2:30 p.m. @ the Indian Creek Branch
Saturday, July 17 - 1:30-2:30 p.m. @ the Main Library
This is a fun way to keep up your reading skills over the summer. Trained therapy dogs are provided by Pets for Life, Inc. For more information, call (913) 971-6874.
