bunnycakes2.jpgDuring National Children's Book Week, November 13-19, the library will be participating in a state-wide project called "Kansas Reads to Preschoolers."  The goal of this project is to read the same book to every child 5 years old and younger throughout the state.  This year's book is Bunny Cakes by Rosemary Wells.  Schools, libraries, daycares, and other agencies will be reading this book to children all over Kansas during the week. Both Olathe libraries will be offering "Story on the Spot" featuring the book Bunny Cakes throughout the week of November 13-19.  Hear about Max's hilarious efforts to make an earthworm cake for his grandma's birthday.  Just stop by the Indian Creek Branch Library anytime that week and catch an impromptu reading of this charming book by Rosemary Wells.  You may also stop by the Main Library to hear a reading during the following times:           Monday, Nov. 13 - 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m.           Tuesday, Nov. 14 - 1 p.m., 4 p.m.           Wednesday, Nov. 15 - 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m.           Thursday, Nov. 16 - 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m.           Friday, Nov. 17 - 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m.           Sunday, Nov. 19 - 2 p.m., 4 p.m. This book will also be read at all of our regularly scheduled library storytimes throughout the week.
